Online Classes – May 2019
What is an online writing class?
Online classes are available in the comfort of your own home, where you can sit in your pajamas, sip coffee and become a part of your future writing community! The classes are instructed live through a user-friendly, interactive site. You will simply log onto the website at the appointed time and you’ll instantly be in class. In the interactive program you’ll be able to actively engage with the instructor and other students. Throughout the course you will also have access to a class forum, where writing prompts will be posted daily, where you can share work, ask questions and get input from Jill and other students outside of class time. The class will become your new writing community. Class sizes are limited to six participants – so make sure you sign up early!

The Escape Writer’s Isolation Class – Thursdays 9:30-11:30am – May 9th 2019 – June 13th 2019 Cost-$250
No experience is necessary for this beginner’s memoir writing class. You are guided every step of the way using life theme writing prompts explored in class, writing stories, free of your inner critic, and receiving productive, positive feedback. There is no wrong or right in this class, the objective is for you to trust yourself and discover your writing voice, your style and your story.
Weekly instruction takes place live online, where participants will have the opportunity to see each other and interact. In addition participants will have access to a class forum for the six week class duration, where daily writing prompts are posted and students can share writing and comments. Give yourself the present of joining this class and become a part of a fun beginner’s writing community! Class limited to six participants.

Advance Class – If you are wondering how to weave your life experiences, notes, journals into short stories and memoirs this is the class for you. You will learn how to identify the main theme and create the shape of the story, enabling you to understand where your story begins and ends. Learn how to develop individual scenes with dialogue and suspense. Develop characters. Weekly private writing submissions can be sent directly to Jill for feedback. In addition, there will be a shared forum where class participants can contribute to daily writing prompts, submit work and share productive feedback. Become part of a writing community daily. Share the trials and tribulations of writing together in live interactive classes with daily forums. Please join me for this exciting journey! Class limited to six participants.

Writing can be lonely! Instead join a live writing group on-line. Each week provides a lesson on writing issues, with a selection of suggested readings. Example of topics to be covered – ethics of writing memoir, clearly establishing your voice, who do we include, who do we omit and why, publishing and topics that you want to address. Weekly you submit private writing submissions directly to Jill for an in-depth critique of your work. Daily you have the opportunity to respond to writing prompts, share work and discuss issues in a class forum only available to class members. Class limited to six participants.
